How does Cyclea predict my cycle and phases?
Cyclea divides your cycle into four phases: Menstruation, Follicular phase, Ovulation and Luteal phase. It estimates when each one starts from the periods (and, if you track it, ovulation) you log, together with your cycle and period length.
Estimates, not certainties
Your phases, fertile window and dates are estimates, and they get more accurate the more you track. Days in the future are a forecast.
Cyclea isn't medical advice and isn't a method of contraception. Please don't rely on it to prevent or plan a pregnancy. For anything about your cycle, contraception or fertility, talk to a healthcare professional.
Automatic or manual
On the Profile tab under Your cycle, Prediction is Automatic by default: your cycle and period length are worked out from your recent logs. See How do I change my cycle or period length?
Why does my forecast look different from last month?
Each new period you log updates the forecast. If a period is missing or logged on the wrong day, the phases shift. See I entered the wrong period date. How do I fix it?
